The highly acclaimed “Ladies, Let’s Go Fishing!” (LLGF) educational series is pleased to welcome Scout Boats and Seven Seas Yacht Sales as major partners. The relationship furthers efforts to encourage the female sector to participate in fishing and boating through educational programming. LLGF is anticipating a new Scout 251 XSS in January of 2019, a quality bay boat that can take anglers fishing inshore as well as offshore.
Known for its emphasis on conservation, LLGF offers weekend, immersion-based fishing universities that focus on women and novice to mid-level experienced anglers. What sets this series apart is the one-on-one skill practice, including catch and release, de-hooking, spin, net and fly casting, boat handling, trailer backing, knot tying, and more. Most weekend events include classes, hands-on skill practice, networking and optional charter fishing. The program focuses on women, their male guests and teens to include the family.
Alan Lang, Scout Boats Director of Sales & Marketing, commented, “At Scout, we create the best-built coastal fishing boats in the market today, and we recognize that market is made up of both men and women. The importance of women to the boating/fishing industries is a major factor, and one we take into consideration while crafting our models…as well as having partnerships with organizations such as ‘Ladies, Lets Go Fishing!’.” The industry needs to cultivate new anglers to grow, and women make up 33% of all anglers, as well as 45% of new anglers, according to the RBFF.”
Seven Seas Yacht Sales, located in Fort Lauderdale, FL, is a top Scout Boat dealer worldwide. Commented LLGF Founder Betty Bauman, “It’s a pleasure to work with this family-run business with women in leadership positions. This dealership recognizes the influence of women on family recreational decisions.”
Scout Boats and Seven Seas Yacht Sales join the list of major partners including Recreational Fishing and Boating Foundation/Take Me Fishing/Vamos a Pescar, Mercury, Magic Tilt trailers, Penn, Power-Pole and Fish Florida.
“We’re excited to partner with these fantastic organizations who have interest in developing the female sector of fishing,” added Bauman.
Annual partners are Freedom Boat Club, Treasure Cay Beach Marina & Golf Resort, Sunrise Resort & Marina, AFTCO/Guy Harvey Sportswear, Future Angler Foundation, ICOM America, Taylor Made, Frogg Toggs, Costa del Mar, Hubbard’s Marina, Smith Optics and Star Brite. More than 8,000 graduates have attended from 44 states to learn and experience fishing for Florida’s inshore and offshore saltwater and freshwaterspecies.
