Lake Alan Henry Produces Another Budweiser Sharelunker

Lake Alan Henry has done it again, producing its ninth Budweiser ShareLunker of the season.

Matthew Kent Jolly of Lubbock caught the 13.0-pound fish about 2:30 p.m. April 15 from six feet of water on the south side of Gobbler Creek.

The fish became the 23rd entry in the Budweiser ShareLunker program for the 2004-2005 season and the 390th fish since the program began in 1986.

To date six of the ShareLunkers collected this season and one from last season have spawned. Some of the resulting fingerlings will kept for research, and the remainder will be stocked into public waters in Texas in an effort to improve the quality of largemouth bass fishing in the state.

Largemouth bass weighing 13 pounds or more legally caught in Texas can be donated to the Budweiser ShareLunker program through April 30. To donate a fish, call (903) 681-0550 or leave a numeric page at (888) 784-0600.
