Houston Team #7
There were 24 boats that came out to fish the 7th Anglers Quest Team event on Lake Houston. The team of Larry Cotton & Chris Diberardino came in with the winning stringer of 14.20 lbs., and took home $1,840.00 for their day on the water. Chris reported that they “caught all fish today in 6 to 12 ft. of water on Texas rigged plastics.” He says “The Key to our bites was using a 3/16 oz. Tungston weight, dragging it very slowly.” He would like to give a Special thanks to: Tackle Addict, MisterTwister, Phoenix Boats, Seaguar Line, Mercury Line, Mercury Marine, Kistler Custom Rods, & 13Fishing.
Sandro Alfaro and James Chandler came in a close second with a limit that weighed 13.61 lbs., and they also caught the Biggest bass of the day a 5.26 lb’er. They took home a total of $1,120.00 for their day on the water. Sandro reported that they caught their fish ” In the Bayou in 8-12 ft. on crankbaits. And that ” The big one came off a Carolina rig.” He would like to Thank his Sponsors: Bimini Bay Outfitters, Saltlife Optics, and James Chandler Law office.
Dean Coleman & Jimmy Emmons Jr. took home the third place check for $550.00. Their limit of bass weighed 12.13 lbs. Dean Says ” caught our fish on Strike King crankbaits, main lake, in 2-5 ft.” They would like to thank their wives Suzanna and Susan and also Ranger boats !
Two teams tied for 4th place with 11.49 lbs. I’d like to apologize to Craig Morris and Cody Swann for not getting any information on how they caught their fish. But Wesley Bennett and Chris berry reported that they ” caught all fish in 12 – 25 feet of water on Carolina Rigs”, and a “Special thanks to Dominator Tungston, Reaction Innovations, Mikes Marine, Carrot Stix, bass Cats Boats, Strike King, Boca Bearing, Bowden Marine, Mercury Marine, Lowrance, Navionics, Seaguar, Temple fork outfitters and Power Pole”. Both teams split the $375.00 4th place money.
