The opening tournament for Arkansas’s Super Team was cold rainy and just plain nasty. With water temps and air temps in the high 40’s, 65 teams managed to catch 151 bass weighing 221.92 lbs with 19/5 fish limits and 45 teams weighing fish.
The team of Matt Lea and Danny Myatt used a Lucky Craft Pointer 100’s in chartreuse shad color to earn $5000 in the first Arkansas Super Team Tournament. Matt also earned Bass Cat Quest Bonus.
Second place was the team of Adam Wright and Greg Dyer their 9.97 lb sack earned them a check of $1150. They reported catching their bass on crank baits.
Coming in third were Gary Scott and Charles Hughes, they used a jigging spoon 40 feet deep to land 8.41 lbs and a $850 payday.
Lunker was a 4.43 lb bass caught by Jesse Stauber and James Arnold to earn them $730.
Second big bass was a 4.20 lb caught by David Crumpton and Michael Johnson winning them $490.
The next Arkansas Super Team tournament will be March 6 on Lake Ouachita out of Crystal Springs Resort.
