C.A.S.T / NORTH is truly blessed by having couples that really enjoy fishing!Northwest Texas has had very little rain in the last year, the wind blows everyday and the temperature is over 100 in July and August. With smiles on theirfaces, the wind blowing 20 plus MPH and the lake level 17 feet below normal,our C.A.S.T. couples launched their boats from the “old” boat ramps that wereused in the 1970’s (before the lake was raised 10 feet) to do what they like the best, catch fish and win tournaments.
Lennon Mitchell and Shirley Hedlund fished a main lake point near the dam to land the hefty 6.00 Lb Big Bass of the tournament, one of only two fish over the slot to be weighed in. Lennon commented “the waves were so bad, he did not feel the fish hit the Berkley Blue Fleck Power Worm until the bow of the boat dipped, then he felt the fish pulling hard.” Lennon and Shirley also caught 2 fish below the slot to anchor their winning weight of 8.10 Lbs.
Bobby and Tammy Hodges managed to catch the second fish over the slot,and brought a nice 3.15 Lb Black to the scales for second place Big Bass.

Lake Bridgeport was the final tournament of the 2000 season for C.A.S.T./NORTH. David and Tammy Waller managed to be First or Second place in the standings all year, and with their second place finish at Lake Bridgeport concreted the first place spot for “Anglers of the Year”.
