I’m Mike Auten, Team Yamaha Fishing Pro. One of my favorite fishing techniques is fishing a jerk bait. What I try to do when fishing a jerk bait is match its size to the size of the bait fish that I see in the water. Another thing that I do to get more snap out of my jerk bait, is fish with a low stretch line. This will allow you to give the jerk bait a little more of an erratic action, putting more pop into the bait. Sometimes that’s what it takes to get the fish to react on the bait.By: Walker Agency
