McFaul Wins Bass Fishing League Northeast Division Event on Chesapeake Bay

WHAT: Rick McFaul of Rosedale, Md, caught a 5-bass limit weighing 18 pounds, 14 ounces Saturday, June 12, 2010 to win $5,247 in the FLW BFL Northeast Division tournament on the Chesapeake Bay. McFaul was flipping a frog over matted grass to bring in his winning sack.

WHAT: Jerry Pyles of Middletown, Md., caught a 5-bass limit weighing 17 pounds, 4 ounces Saturday, June 12, 2010 to win $1,623 in the FLW BFL Northeast Co-angler Division on the Chesapeake Bay. Pyles was fishing in the Sassaphrass River using a skinny dipper in grass to bag his limit.

NOTES: The next BFL Northeast Division tournament is scheduled for July 24, at Cayuga Lake in Waterloo, N.Y. After the fifth Northeast Division tournament is complete, the top 40 boaters and co-anglers based on point standings will qualify for the Regional Championship at the Potomac River in Woodbridge, Va.,on Oct. 7-9, for a chance to win a 198VX Ranger boat with a 200-horsepower Evinrude or Yamaha outboard and a Chevy pick-up, co-anglers will fish for a new Ranger 198VX.
