Epic Series Expands With New Sizes And Trigger Reels
The full-featured Epic reel was introduced last year by Mitchell and the value priced spinning reel became responsible for great and memorable experiences by anglers from coast to coast. The Epic family is now expanded with four new models and a new lower price tag.
Joining the original Epic 20 are the new Epic 10 and Epic 40 to expand the selection of reel sizes. The new Epic 10T and Epic 20T are trigger reels with self-centering bails.
Epic spinning reels, with graphite bodies, performs like a much more expensive spinning reel with features anglers can depend on. Smooth operation is secured by four drive bearings, hooksets are aided with Instant Anti-Reverse, the skirted aluminum spool prevents line tangles on the shaft, the automatic bail spring provides immediate line pick-up and the 4.8:1 gear ratio is ideal for a wide range of lure retrieval speeds. The soft-touch reversible handle can be positioned for right or left hand cranking and the smooth front drag is dependable for playing any size fish.
The Epic 10 and Epic 10T weigh 8.4 ounces and can hold 110 yards of 6-pound test monofilament. The line capacity for the 9.1-ounce Epic 20 and Epic 20T is 180 yards of 8-pound test monofilament. The large Epic 40 can hold up to 145 yards of 14-pound test monofilament and weighs 13.8 ounces. This wide range of reel sizes gives the angler a choice for matching the right reel to the type of light to medium action fishing enjoyed. Each Epic reel, finished in gunmetal gray with gold accents, provides a full day of comfortable angling with out arm and wrist fatigue.
Match an Epic spinning reel to that favorite high quality Fenwick or Berkley spinning rod to complete the ensemble.
