The new 35-Gallon Holding Tank System
(35 HTS) was introduced by SeaLand Technology during BoatBuilding 2001,
Tampa, FL.
Targeted primarily for pleasure boats up to 50-feet, SeaLand developed the
35 HTS with installation simplicity and outstanding performance in mind. The
system’s space-saving design combines a VacuFlushยฎ vacuum generator,
TankWatchยฎ level indicators, vent filter, TankSaverยฎ relief valve, optional
overboard discharge pump and holding tank into one package. High quality,
factory pre-installed components, coupled with integral mounting feet, make
installation nuisance-free.
This 35-gallon (132 liters) version is the latest addition to SeaLand’s
comprehensive HTS line for the marine industry. HTS systems are also
available in a larger 42-gallon (159 liters) holding tank capacity with all
the previously mentioned features, as well as 10-gallon (38 l) and 18-gallon
(68 l) versions for smaller boats.
Outfitted with a TankSaver relief valve, each holding tank system is
protected from the excessive suction created by dockside pumps, and also
meets the ISO standard for 1-1/2-inch (38 mm) venting. Seamless construction
prevents leaks, and the tank’s nominal 3/8-inch (10 mm) wall thickness
provides unmatched durability.
Each holding tank system incorporates SeaLand’s unique diptube discharge
design which eliminates standing sewage in the discharge hose lines, thereby
reducing the possibility of hose odor permeation. The holding tanks have
dockside and overboard discharge connections that exceed the proposed ISO
standard with 95 percent removal of tank contents. All inlet and outlet
fittings connect from the top of the tank, making them highly accessible for
easy maintenance.
The HTS vacuum generator is a vital part of SeaLand’s advanced, highly
efficient vacuum toilet technologies * VacuFlush and EcoVacรค systems.
Compared to manual toilets, which use at least one gallon (3.8 l) per flush,
SeaLand vacuum toilet systems consume about one pint (0.5 l) of fresh water
per flush. This allows boat owners to increase holding tank capacity by up
to 400 percent.
