After about an hour delay due to heavy rains and lightning the CAST couples were able to uncover their boat and get the tournament underway.
Cathey Kohutek brought her largest bass of her newly married life to weigh-in, a very nice 8.39 lbs. to take the Ladies Big Bass and Russell McGuire took Mens Big Bass with a 4.66 lbs.
Lake Hubbard Creek with 15,250 acres produced a total of 39 fish and a total weight of 97.12 lbs. for a 2.49 average weight. The top 6 at the end of the tournament were :
Little Bill and Cathey Kohutek 13.11 lbs.
Russell and Michelle McGuire 9.86 lbs.
Bobby and Jeanne Rains 9.83 lbs.
John and Grace Watts 7.32 lbs.
Robert Brown and Becky McBride 6.55 lbs.
Barry and Janice Bennett 6.53 lbs.
The Breckenridge Inn, the CAST host motel in Breckenridge, Texas again showed why tournament anglers pick this facility while visiting Hubbard Creek Lake by providing security each night for the anglers equipment and truly showing a Great Texas size hospitality to each couple.
Another thing CAST couples require is a great place to eat and at this tournament the Village Restaurant near the starting ramp provided not only a safe haven during the rainstorm, but also one of the finest breakfast this angler can remember.
