Not only was it A scorcher for our CAST/NORTH couples on Cedar Creek this weekend, but our fish had been beaten up by numerous other tournaments that same weekend. The bite was very tough with only two limits making it to the scales. Our two Oklahoma teams, Robert & Robbie Brooks and Larry & Mary Lynn Wood took 1st and 2nd place with only A half of A pound difference between the two.
Robert & Robbie had 12.80 lbs, they caught there fish in lilly pads and docks using Blue Fleck Worms and A Wacky Worm.
Larry & Mary Lynn weighed in 12.05 lbs.,there fish came off docks using Finnesse Worms along with A white Crankbait they had gotten from Academy. Larry said it was 11:00 am before they caught there first keeper.
John Bills & Brenda Reeves tied for 3rd place with Arthur Tucker and Meta Burrell. Both couples made it to the scales with four fish weighing 9.20 lbs. Carolina Rigs and Brush Hogs seem to be the secret for these two teams.
