Pro Jerrid Theisen and Am Vince DeNina Win on Livingston

A/Q Pro-Am #2

Anglers Quest 2004 Pro-Am Series #2 blasted off at 6:15 am on Lake Livingston out of Kickapoo Bait & Tackle with 24 Pro-Am anglers showing up to go for the all cash purse of $2115.00. This Series will provide the Pro & Am “Anglers of the Year” with free entries to all 2005 Pro-Am Series events. The Pro-Am Series Championship will be held on September 24-25-26 and will be held 1 day on each of 3 different lakes and will take the Top 25 Pros & Ams to a very exciting Championship. All A/Q Championships include Calcutta auctions which builds the Championship purse to some very nice $$ to fish for. The air temp at takeoff was a cool 48 degrees with a warming to 63 degrees at weigh in time. The water was at approx. normal pool level with water temps running in the high 50’s in the main lake. The wind also blew with a 15-20 mph SE breeze and lots of clouds.

Jerrid Theisen from Huntsville, Tx came to Lake Livingston and powered his bass rig to Pennwaugh creek and mid-lake 5-8 ft docks and piers to catch his 5 bass of 18.66 lbs on Jig & Craw trailer. Jerrid reported catching 6 bass with this pattern, one of these was the Big Bass of the event, a fine 6.88 lber to anchor his win and collect $975.00 and the A/Q Trophies for his efforts. Pro side 2nd place went to Tony Hawk from Humble, Tx. Tony reported running his bass rig to White Rock creek to catch 5 bass at 15.32 lbs fishing Texas rigged worms & lizards in 1-3 ft of water. Tony collected $400.00 and the A/Q plaques for his efforts. 3rd place and first place out of the money Royal Purple TCW3 oil went to Pro Shane Moffett for his catch of 5 bass at 15.01 lbs.

Am Vince DeNina from Willis, Tx finished in 1st on the Amateur side for the 2nd tournament in a row with 3 bass at 5.94 lbs. Vince reported catching his bass on docks & piers flipping tx rigged worms in the mid lake area. Vince had the Heavy Am sack of the day to collect $420.00 and the A/Q Trophy for his day on the water with Pro partner Scott David. Evan Marozoff from Willis, Tx finished in 2nd place on the Amateur side with 1 bass at 5.52 lbs. Evan only had 1 bite all day but it was the Big Bass on the Am side and earned him $275.00. 3rd place and the first place out of the money Royal Purple TCW3 oil went to Dave Roberts for his catch of 2 bass at 4.87 lbs.

The next Pro-Am event is scheduled for March 28 on Lake Conroe and will go out of Anchorage Marina. Registration and entry can be done anytime at Anchorage Marina in Willis, Tx, phone 936-856-6423.
