Here are some great places to find and catch bass in rivers. Tailwaters of dams are unbelievable fish catching areas. Lots of forage fish can be found along the shorelines and humps and of course that brings the bass.
Outside bends of rivers are also excellent. These bends mean undercut banks where bass wait to ambush prey so cast as close to the shoreline as you can.
If the river has an island in it, either end will probably have woody cover that bass love. If there is an oxbow, give it a try. Bass like to come to these
places to get out of the current.
Some rivers have smaller streams flowing into them and these are especially productive in the spring.
