Anglers Quest 2004 Twin Lake Saturday Series #19 on Lake Livingston out of KickApoo Bait & Tackle in Onalaska, TX began this event with 48 teamed anglers showing up to fish for the GUARANTEED cash purse of $1775.00. The event began at safe light, which was 6:55 am. Weigh-in was conducted at 3:15 pm. This Series after all 20 events will provide the Team Anglers of the year with free entries to all 2005 Saturday Series events. The Top 25 teams will go to the Championship in November. All A/Q Championships include Calcutta auctions which builds the Championship purse to some very nice $$ to fish for, for a very small entry fee of $100.00 per team.

Lake Livingston water was in very decent shape at about normal pool level, with the temps ranning in the low 80’s. The weather at takeoff was very rainy until about 9:00 am, but still stayed overcast the remainder of the day. The fishing was very good on Livingston today as 17 limits were brought to the scales for a total of 100 bass at 264.19 lbs making the average bass brought to the scales today weigh 2.64 lb.

The team of Robert Knappick from Houston & Steve Conard from LaPorte, Tx ran their Skeeter/Yamaha bass rig to main lake south creek areas to catch their limit of 5 bass casting spoon plugs and spinner baits to 3-5 ft piers and docks to end up with 19.36 lbs and collect the Guaranteed $1000.00 and 1st place.

Charlie Cooper from Onalaska & Sammy Smith from Channelview, Tx ran Sammy’s Skeeter/Mercury bass rig to Sandy & Kickapoo creek areas to cast buzz, spinner and crank baits to shallow 1-3 ft bass to finish in 2nd with their best 5 bass that tipped the scales at 17.74 lbs and collect $325.00 for their day on the lake.

Gene Swann from Onalaska & Scott David from Goodrich, Tx finished in 3rd place today fishing from Scott’s Ranger/Yamaha bass rig and bringing their best 5 bass to the scales that weighed 17.60 lbs on Texas rigged horny toads flipped around laydowns & brush in 1-5 ft water in Kickapoo Creek. They took home $282.00 for their day on the water, also having the 2nd big bass of the day at 5.12 lbs.

The team of Jerrid Theisen from Huntsville & Dave Roberts from Montgomery, Tx ran Jerrid’s Hydrosport/Rude bass rig to north river creeks to catch their limit of 5 bass flippin blk/blu jigs to 1-4 ft brush & piers to tip the scales at 17.53 lbs to finish in 4th place and collect the 1st place out of the money gift certificates given to them from Kickapoo Bait & Tackle.

Greg Crawford & Jesse Johnson from Huffman, Tx had the 1st big bass of the event, a fine 6.06 lber caught on a spinner bait that made them $168.00.
