HAPPY NEW YEAR YA’ LL !!!!!
It was CHILLY on Big Sam Rayburn Sunday morning January 10, 2016 !!! With the temp in the mid to low 30’s and the wind gusting to 25 MPH, it made it feel like it was freezing. Twenty-three boats showed up to fish in the cold rough waters of Big Sam.
No surprise that Rusty Clark & Cory Rambo came in with 5 bass that weighed 28.39 lbs to win first place !!!! They took home a total of $1,780.00, for first and the big bass that went 7.86 lbs. Cory reported fishing with Carolina Rigs in drains in 12-16 ft. The Big Bass came on a Prototype 6th sense lure.
The 2nd place team of Jeff Bridges & Kevin Walker ( I aologize to them for not getting the info on their day ) came in with 5 fish that weighed 25.09 lbs. What a nice stringer that was !!!! They took home $1,055.00 for they’re day on the water.
Third place was held down by Clint Wade and the lovely Stacy Spriggs. They brought 5 to the scales that weighed 21.55 lbs. Stacy reported catching their fish mid-lake on Carolina rigs in 12-25 ft of water out of their Champion / Yamaha rig. Clint & Stacy recieved the 3rd place check for $530.00.
Fourth place was the team of Kris Wilson and Charles Bebber. ( I apologize to these guys for not getting any info from them ). They brought in five that weighed 19.73 lbs and thy won $350.00.
Fifth place was Mr. Clayton Boulware. His partner is Phil Addison. Phil couldn’t make it today, but Clayton kept the team alive by bringing in 5 bass for 19.73 lbs and claimed the Rayburn Country Stay & Play Gift certificates for a one night stay and 2 rounds of golf.
