As the weather heated up so did the Top Six Shoot-Out for 1st place. Jesse & Carrie Allen gave Joe & Susie Martin a real headache as the Allen’s had 2 fish by noon and the Martins had a big ZERO. Joe & Susie had to weigh a fish to stay in 1st Place and Joe hates Lake Leon. Jesse knew he was breathing down Joe’s neck pretty hard but then there is the O’Dells’ just waiting for a miracle to happen and they are in 1st place. But as the day was miserably hot and everyone that remembered to bring water had drank every drop, the challenge for Team of the Year was on everyone’s mind.
But as you can see, Joe & Susie Martin pulled a fish out the magic hat and are well deserved of the great title of TEAM OF THE YEAR.
Our title of Big Bass of the Year is a 7.80 lb beauty from south of the border caught by James & Robbie Crenshaw.
Congratulations to all of the couples for a great year and we look forward to the Classic and a Special Thanks to all of those couples that fished hard and made the Top Six.

It was a photo finish for the WEST region as the Top Six Places were all up for grabs and on one of the toughest lakes around (Leon).Congratulations to Joe & Susie Martin for a great recovery on Sunday from no fish at noon to catching a keeper at 2:35 pm.
