The Shakespeare Electronic Products Group, world leader in marine antennas, has appointed Richard Belfrage to the position of European Sales Manager.
Announcing the appointment, Don Henry, Director of the Marine Products Group at Shakespeare’s world headquarters in Columbia, South Carolina, stated, “Richard Belfrage has many years of experience in the marine trade, including senior roles at Raytheon, SMG, Simrad and, more recently, at Tack Tick. We are indeed fortunate to have a man of his qualifications joining our European Operation. Richard will take over when Tim Christie retires in early 2010.”
Tim Christie was formerly the owner and Managing Director of Communication Aerials Ltd., manufacturer of the V-Tronix antenna range, and Shakespeare acquired this business in February 2008.
Roger Evans, Managing Director at Shakespeare’s UK operation, said, “Shakespeare would like to thank Tim Christie for his efforts ensuring the successful transfer of the business. We wish him a long and pleasant retirement.”
“We are delighted that Richard has agreed to join us and he brings a wealth of experience in both UK and export sales. Our 2009 Europeansales are above budget and we are all confident that Richard will continue Tim’s successful work on the V-Tronix and Shakespeare brands.”
Commenting on his appointment, Richard said, “I am very much looking forward to my new role at Shakespeare and to taking on the challenges facing us all in Europe.”
Both Tim Christie and Richard Belfrage will be on the Shakespeare stand number 02.407 at the METS exhibition in November this year.
