Shawn and Bryan Freeze 2004 Classic Champions

The Classic was held on September 12th at Michigan Center and the weather was great. Prefishing seemed to be better for many of the teams, than the actual tournament, but it was still a nice weigh in. Shawn and Bryan Freeze were this years Classic Champions, bringing in a limit that weighed 11.51 lbs. They received the keys to a 2005 Skeeter SX 170 rigged with a 2005 Yamaha 70 HP motor. The boat was donated by Skeeter Boats and Yamaha, G3 and Lake Drive Marine furnished the 70 HP motor, batteries and rigging.

The second place team of Doug and Terry Tucker brought in their limit of 11.26 lbs and received $1,000. Darrel and Jemery Antrup rounded out the top 6 places, but also had the Big Bass weighing 4.07 lbs. Jemery caught the fish on the first cast of the day.

Greg Mangus and Pat Tappenden were this years Points Champions and were awarded their plaques and they received paid entries into the 2005 Lake Drive Marine Tour

The 2005 schedule is pretty much done, we are just waiting to finalize the Classic location. When that is finalized we will be sending out the Entry Forms. We are making two very important changes to next years rules.

First, we are limiting the field to the first 75 teams. Second to qualify for the $1,000 G3 Lucky Draw you must be registered for all four tournaments by March 1st, 2005.

Thanks to all the fishermen and the sponsors this year. We were able to pay out $50,080.00, including the Skeeter SX 170 this year. Not Bad !!

Without our sponsors none of this would be possible so we ask you to please remember and support our sponsors. Skeeter Boats, G3 Aluminum Fishing Boats, Yamaha Outboard, Diehl Realty, Hemel Chevrolet, Rogue Rods, Solar Bat Sunglasses, K&E Tackle, Michigan Graphic Arts and Fishingworld.com.

This year went off without any problems, because of the great group of people we have fishing and the sponsors. We cant thank everyone enough for all their help and we are looking forward to next year.

Jeff & Julie
