Skeeter Bay Boats’ New Little Sister

The new ZX2000 has all the bigger Skeeter bay boats features but at a size of an inshore flats boat. At 19 feet and 10 inches in length, with a 98-inch beam and 14-inch draft, this craft will go wherever the redfish run or the specs scurry. The ZX2000 is built for fishing and comfort. The elevated front and rear casting decks provide added visibility to locate the fish and plan the next cast. Beneath the front deck are two roomy storage compartments and an anchor storage box. The rear deck features a large storage compartment, easy to reach rear rigging compartment and 19-gallon recirculating livewell. The fiberglass doors are rigged with stainless steel hinges.
The center console command center has just about everything the pilot needs. Six rod built-in holders (three per side) assist with tackle management. Speed, rpm, water pressure, fuel levels and, trim position can be quickly determined from the console’s easy to read gauge’s. The folding windshield with full stainless steel rail, tilt hydraulic steering and two cup holders are also included. The console seat is a 90-gallon removable ice chest/seat combination with a two position back rest. The white gelcoat hull and sides, non-carpeted non-slip deck and floor and stainless steel hardware are designed for quick clean up and long term service. Other conveniences on the ZX2000 are self bailing cockpit, fire extinguisher storage box, four pull-up cleats, console courtesy lights, battery trays, two 1500 GPH bilge pumps and a 54-gallon main fuel tank with a six-gallon reserve.
The 2,700 pound dry weight ZX2000 rides on a Skeeter galvanized tandem axle trailer with surge brakes, flush kit and black wall tires. The trailer includes a spare tire and carrier, tie downs and transom savor.
