Skeeter Products, Inc., manufacturer of Skeeter brand boats, proudly announces its sponsorship of the Couples Association of Sport Tournaments (C.A.S.T.), Texas’ leading “couple’s only” fishing tournament trail.
C.A.S.T. participants are able to fish six tournaments located in each of nine regional divisions throughout the State of Texas.Couples who fish all six tournaments in their division, or who earn more than 250 points through the organization’s scoring system, earn the opportunity to compete for a $10,000 first place payout in the C.A.S.T. Classic Championship.Classic competitors will participate in a drawing to win a 2008 Skeeter SX200 bass boat, powered by a Yamaha VZ200 outboard engine, valued at approximately $40,000.
“This is a new demographic for Skeeter, outside of the traditional team format, and having the opportunity to sponsor a tournament trail that encourages couples to fish together, is a great fit for our brand,” says Trey White, Director of Marketing for Skeeter Products, Inc.”In addition to great payouts, C.A.S.T. is also one of the thousands of tournament trails sanctioned through our ‘Real Money’ incentive program, paying from $1,000-$3,000 for Skeeter owners who fish and win tournaments,” says White.
In 2008, C.A.S.T. will visit some of Texas’ most popular bass fisheries, including Lakes Amistad, Choke Canyon, Fork, Stillhouse, Sam Rayburn, Toledo Bend, Texoma, Lewisville and Lake ‘O Pines, among many others. Since its inception in 1984, C.A.S.T. officials have continued to increase payouts at its regional tournaments, and 2008 is no different.C.A.S.T. anticipates paying out to the top five teams, including $1,000 to the winner, $750 for second place and $500 for third place.
