The 22′ long pontoon floats atop three U-shaped.100-gauge 23″ by 25″ jumbo logs that have smooth straight sides and more volume than conventional 24″ round logs. Each log is reinforced with double-plated .100-gauge nosecones and the .125-gauge wings on the nose provide added splash protection. Filled with Maxi-Float foam, these logs provide the maximum floatation and a smooth ride. The boat is equipped with a full-length under-deck performance shield that improves fuel efficiency and ride.
The 8 1/2′ wide deck is built on heavy-duty, C-channel deck extrusions with 16″ centers and through-bolted floors for added strength. Rated for a Yamaha 175 horsepower outboard, there is plenty of dependable power for cruising, water skiing and family fun. The upgraded heavy-duty all-aluminum motor pod provides superior support for the higher horsepower engines.
Fishing from the LX3 22F/C is enhanced with four primary fishing stations, two on the front and two at the stern. Each station has a comfortable deluxe upholstered fishing chair on a pedestal. Aerated livewells are located both forward and aft. Wiring and plug are provided for a 12-volt trolling motor. The 8-foot rod holders offer lockable storage space for tackle boxes and equipment.
Luxury starts with the roomy wrap-around lounge which provides party-style seating as well as dry under-seat storage with the “rain-drain” channel. The ABS dinette table with cup holders is movable for placement in the front or rear seating areas. Protection from the sun and rain is provided by a color coordinated Bimini top while sun bathers enjoy the double-wide “Sun Catcher” tanning deck which folds out of the way when not in use. A pop-up privacy enclosure is a convenient place to change clothes or locate a portable toilet. Lift-up gates provide convenient entry and exit and eliminate gate rattle when closed. Anodized deck rails and trim are maintenance free and retain their appearance over years of use.
The fiberglass-reinforced deluxe console has new styling and graphics and is rigged with a tinted windshield, Yamaha controls and cables, hydraulic steering, full instrumentation and a Sony Marine AM/FM/CD stereo with four speakers. A 34-quart cooler fits inside the console base and the hinged door access prevents the cooler from sliding into the walkway.
The 30-gallon built-in fuel tank provides hours of cruising without a fuel stop. For convenience the Sun Catcher pontoon boat has navigation lights, courtesy lights, fire extinguisher, boarding from the front, rear and side and much more.
