Take-off was at 5:45 am on Saturday, June 11, 2017…..It was a beautiful morning and turned out to be a great day to fish Ole Sam.
The team of Phillip Crelia & TJ Goodwin brought 5 bass to the scales for a total weight of 22.63 lbs. These guys took home $2,100.00 for their efforts on the waters of Big Sam ……
Tommy Hill & Bubba Fraizer have been having a great year on Rayburn and this AQ Team event was no different…. They came in 2nd place with their limit weighing 17.94 lbs. They took home $1,075.00 for their day on the water and would like to thank their sponsor Dylan Williams Insurance !!!
The new young team of Wyatt Frankens & Alec Castonguay came in a close 3rd with their 5 fish tipping the scales for 17.69 lbs and they took home the third place check of $650.00. Way to go guys !!!!
Garrett Pierce & Roy Wade came in 4th place with their 5 fish weighing 17.54 lbs. Garrett & Roy also caught the biggest bass of the day, a nice
8.18 lb’er… Garrett & Roy took home a total of $650.00 for all teir time on the water.
Bob Keeland & Shelby Shaw won $255.00 with their limit weighing in at 16.60 lbs…. That was with Bob fishing handicapped with a treble hook buried in his thumb… With the help of one of our AMAZING Game Wardens and a pair of heavy duty pliers/cutters, they finally got the hook out of his thumb. What a dedicated fisherman for finishing the day with a hook buried in his thumb…
