The New 2001 Stratos SS Extreme Series

Define On-Water Performance

Superior performance, smooth handling and premium quality workmanship make the new Stratos® SS Extreme bass boats the boat of choice for bass anglers who want to remain competitive on the water – and in contention for the top spot at the weigh-in on any competitive tournament trail.

“For 2001, we have taken a new approach and have gone to the extreme by redesigning the hulls on our of top-of-the-line Extreme bass boats,” said Corbett Jones, marketing coordinator at Stratos Boats. “These new models take bass fishing to the extreme – offering better top-end performance and smooth, easy handling. “

“Our customers can rest assured, with the new 19-, 20-, 21-, and 22-foot Stratos Extremes, they will not be left in anyone’s wake,” he concluded.

The Stratos SS Extreme line-up features ‘all new’ hull models, including the 19, 20, 21 and 22 SS Extreme models. The hull length for each model is 19’1″ (5.82 meters), 20’1″ (6.12 meters), 20’8″ (6.30 meters), and 21’9″ (6.63) respectively. The beam on the 19, 20 and 21 models is 92-inches (2.34 meters), which offers abundant room inside the cockpit and on the casting platforms. The 22 SS offers a 95″ beam for added roominess. All models are available with either a single or dual console configuration.

The Stratos SS Extreme models are equipped with Evinrude outboard engines with Ficht Ram Injection™ technology. The Stratos SS 19, SS 20 feature 200- horsepower and 225-horsepower Evinrude outboards, respectively, while the SS 21 and SS 22 feature the new 225 Evinrude Rude Ram outboard, which is a high-output outboard designed specifically for high-performance bass boat applications.

A 7-inch manual jack plate is standard on all models, while a 7-inch hydraulic jack plate is available as an option. A Teleflex foot throttle and Pro-Trim is standard on the 21 SS and 22 SS and an option of the 19 SS and 20SS.

The semi-vee, all composite hull is designed to provide quick hole-shots, smooth transitions to planning speeds and peak top-end performance. The 19 SS, 21 SS, and 22 SS models feature tournament style seating with a padded driver bucket seat with comfort ride suspension and padded pro-style pedestal seats. The 20 SS features 60/40 bench-style seating. A leaning “bike-style” bow seat is available as an option. Plush, 20-ounce marine grade carpet is standard throughout on all models.

All Stratos SS Extreme models include a full-featured helm with a range of deluxe Faria instrumentation, including OMC System Check, 100-mile-per-hour speedometer, tachometer, trim/tilt, fuel and water pressure gauges – plus a Lowrance X-65 fish locator flush-mounted in the console. A Teleflex Sea Pro hydraulic tilt steering system and omni directional padded steering wheel also are standard on all Extreme models. The Stratos V.I.E.W. navigational system is standard on the 21 and 22 SS Extreme, and an option for the 19 and 20 SS Extreme models.

These rigs also feature a full complement of electronic accessories and controls. A control console with lighted rocker switches is located in the bow of the rig to offer anglers the ability to easily maneuver the boat while fishing. For quiet maneuverability, the 19 SS and 20 SS models include an Evinrude Silent Start 24-volt, 54-pound-thrust, foot-controlled trolling motor, while the 21SS and 22SS models feature a 24-volt, 74 pound thrust Evinrude Silent Start trolling motor. 6-gauge wiring, surface mounted, automotive-style circuit breakers and bow and stern navigation lights are standard on all models.

Keeping trophy-sized bass refreshed is made easy with two aerated livewells with a timer on board. Amber LED lighting in each livewell makes early morning or late evening retrieval of fish easier. The Flow-Rite automatic live wells are equipped with a tournament grade four-pump aeration system with Rule aerator cartridge pumps. A livewell pump-out system is optional.

Standard features include cranking and trolling motor batteries, a built-in battery charger with AC plug. The 19 SS and 20 SS feature the Dual-Pro battery charging system with indicator, while the 21 SS and 22 SS feature the Tri-Pro battery charging system with indicator. Anglers also will find the non-skid bow and stern mats and rear step pads appealing.

Lockable, spacious dual rod storage lockers with amber LED compartment lighting, and ratchet rod hold-downs provide secure storage and are designed to make accessing rods easy and quick. Gear stowage is made easier with the added storage compartment located under the rod ramp. A removable drop-in tackle storage system and rubber mats in storage compartments also are standard.

All Stratos Pro Elite bass boat packages also include a custom color coordinated, drive-on tandem axle trailer. Disc brakes (one axel) are standard on the 21 SS and 22 SS and available as an option on the 19 SS and 20 SS packages. All trailers feature an “A’ frame tubular design, a double bunk system with double guide-on rollers, bearing buddies, winch strap and swivel jack. Trailer launch lights, spoke aluminum wheels, a torsion air suspension system, ratchet tie downs, and aluminum diamond plate on trailer are all standard.
