Thompson Wins Bass Fishing League Okie Division Event On Arkansas River

WHAT: Michael Thompson of Broken Arrow, Okla., caught a 5-bass limit weighing 16 pounds, 8 ounces Saturday, June 26, 2010 to win $3,632 in the FLW BFL Okie Division tournament on the Arkansas River. Thompson was finesse fishing six miles upstream with soft plastics to catch his limit.

WHAT: Gary Snyder of Bixby, Okla., caught a 5-bass limit weighing 13 pounds, 6 ounces Saturday, June 26, 2010 to win $1,816 in the FLW BFL Okie Co-angler Division on the Arkansas River. Snyder was fishing the Halton Pool using a finesse worm to sack his limit.

NOTES: The next and last BFL Okie Division tournament for 2010 is scheduled for Sept. 18-19, at Grand Lake in Grove, Okla. After the fifth Okie Division tournament is complete, the top 40 boaters and co-anglers based on point standings will qualify for the Regional Championship at Lake Texoma in Denison Texas, on Oct. 14-16, for a chance to win a 198VX Ranger boat with a 200-horsepower Evinrude or Yamaha outboard and a Chevy pick-up, co-anglers will fish for a new Ranger 198VX.
