Trey White, Panama City, Fla., has been named Marketing Director at Skeeter Boats, Kilgore, Texas. Previously, he was Marketing Manager for Century Boat Company, a post he held since April, 2004. The announcement was made by Jeff Stone, vice president and general manager of Skeeter. Both Century and Skeeter are Yamaha Marine Group boat companies.
Dean Burnett, vice president and general manager at Century Boats said, “Trey has made a great contribution to our team here at Century Boats. But the opportunity at Skeeter is an awesome one which will broaden his knowledge and continue his career with a Yamaha Company. I have been very pleased with his performance for the nearly two years he was with us and will miss him.
White has been in the marine industry all his life and brings more than a decade of marine experience to Skeeter. Before Joining Century, he was responsible for sales analysis and forecasting at Triton Boats. Prior to that he worked at Stratos/Javelin boats as marketing manager and national marketing tournament director. White also served as marketing manager for Astro,/Procraft boat brands at Marine Group LLC and started his career at The Nashville Network working as a field producer/director for TNN Outdoors.
As marketing director for Skeeter, White will oversee all marketing and brand management functions. Skeeter is a leading manufacturer of fiberglass bass, bay and walleye fishing boats. Skeeter invented the bass boat in 1948.
White is a native of Tennessee and received a Bachelor of Science degree in mass communications from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. He and his family will relocate to Kilgore, Texas In November.
