TThe ArkTex Region of C.A.S.T. held its first tournament of the 2003 season on February 23rd at Lake Bob Sandlin. Even though it was a very windy day, all of our couples had a safe and enjoyable time. We had a few new couples show up at the first tournament and we are really glad that they have decided to fish with us this year.
Virgil Akin and Jackie Meshell took first place with 9.74 lbs. Last years “Team of the Year”, Wes and Toni Lindsey, placed 2nd with 9.30 lbs. They also had the big bass for the day at 4.35 lbs.
Last years C.A.S.T. Classic Ranger Boat Winners, David and Teresa Meeks placed 3rd with 7.59 lbs. Jerry and Sybil Kleam won our special 4th place with 6.95 lbs. WAY TO GO!!!!
We are all looking forward to our next tournament at Wright Patman and to a really great year.
