Escape To The Outdoors, a national news feature service providing leisure lifestyle features to more than 12,000 newspaper editors and publishers, will expand its summer issue to include content for Web sites.
“We’re calling our Web content distribution expansion ‘E-scape To The Outdoors’ to call attention to our expanded availability for Web site content providers,” said Mike Walker of the Walker Agency. “A recurring complaint about Web site content is the lack of new material and the kinds of stories and photos that outdoor enthusiasts like to read. We’re going to make it easy for content providers.”
Escape To The Outdoors was first created and distributed in 1985 for agency clients as an alternative to commercial distribution services that missed outdoor-oriented media. Since then, other companies have participated in the service.
The Outdoor Writers Association of America and the Southeastern Outdoor Press Association have recognized the award-winning service in their corporate excellence in craft competition.
One SEOPA judge said, “This publicity service is marketing and public relations at its best. It offers an inexpensive marketing vehicle that has potential for great exposure.”
