Walker Wins Bass Fishing League Illini Division On Ohio

WHAT: Jerry Walker of Zeigler, Ill. caught a 5-bass limit weighing 12 pounds, 2 ounces Saturday, July 17, 2010 to win $5,122 in the FLW BFL Illini Division tournament on the Ohio River. Under overcast skies Walker was using spinnerbaits in shallow water on the Cumberland River to sack his limit.

WHAT: Aaron Arning of Walnut Hill, Ill., caught a 5-bass limit weighing 8 pounds, 11 ounces Saturday, July 17, 2010 to win $1,561 in the FLW BFL Illni Co-angler Division on the Ohio River. Arning was using a senko on a Texas rig in shallow water on Deer Creek to bag his limit.

NOTES: The next and last BFL Illini Division tournament in 2010 is scheduled for Sept. 25-26, at the Ohio River/Golconda in Golconda, Ill. After the fifth Illini Division tournament is complete, the top 40 boaters and co-anglers based on point standings will qualify for the Regional Championship at Lake Barkley in Kuttawa, Ky., on Oct. 7-9, for a chance to win a 198VX Ranger boat with a 200-horsepower Evinrude or Yamaha outboard and a Chevy pick-up, co-anglers will fish for a new Ranger 198VX.
