Walters Wins Bass Fishing League North Carolina Division Event on High Rock Lake

WHAT:Todd Walters of Greensboro, N.C., caught a 5-bass limit weighing 22 pounds, 8 ounces Saturday, June 19, 2010 to win $3,533 in the FLW BFL North Carolina Division tournament on High Rock Lake. Walters was using a 3/8 ounce jig around docks in the creeks to sack his limit.

WHAT:Mark Murphy of Lexington, N.C., caught four bass weighing 14 pounds, 5 ounces Saturday, June 19, 2010 to win $1,777 in the FLW BFL North Carolina Co-angler Division on High Rock Lake. Murphy was targeting points using crankbaits to catch his winning sack.

NOTES:The next and last BFL North Carolina Division tournament of 2010 is scheduled for Sept. 18-19, at Lake Norman in Huntersville, N.C. After the fifth North Carolina Division tournament is complete, the top 40 boaters and co-anglers based on point standings will qualify for the Regional Championship at the Potomac River in Woodbridge, Va., on Oct. 7-9, for a chance to win a 198VX Ranger boat with a 200-horsepower Evinrude or Yamaha outboard and a Chevy pick-up, co-anglers will fish for a new Ranger 198VX.
