On 4/18/04 twenty eight couples left Pickwick Landing State Park with one thing in mind, that was to catch five bass. The weather was good as far as temps but the wind was very high. Most of the couples caught fish and had a great day. Wendy and Tommy Pickett were able to catch five bass that weighed 15.19 lbs. to take first place. A first time couple Audra Bilbro and Leslie Franks found four bass that weighed 10.46 lbs. for second place. Janie and Billy Carpenter were able to catch five bass that weighed 8.56 lbs. for the third place honors. Debbie and Mark Davis found four bass that weighed 8.01 lbs for fourth place. Fifth place went to Marilyn and David Jobe with one bass that weighed 4.74lbs and was Big Bass of the tournament. April and Mickey Garrett were sixth with two bass that weighed 4.45 lbs.
Jenna and Jerry Moore wanted to thank everyone who bought tickets on the quilt they raffled for Jerry’s mother who had been in the hospital.
