AQ Rayburn Ind Championship 2017
There were only 10 Individuals that qualified to fish the 2017 Anglers Quest Rayburn Championship held at LakeView RV & Motel and all 10 opted to fish…….
You know, sometimes everything goes wrong and you just can’t catch a break…….But………. There are times when you can do no wrong and EVERYTHING GOES RIGHT……..Well this season Everything has gone right for Mr. Tommy Hill….. He won not only the AOY for the Rayburn Team Events ( with his Partner Bubba Frazier ), but also AOY for the Rayburn Individual Events…. And the 2 day AQ Individual Championship Event !!!
Tommy had a two day total weight of 49.04 lbs. The first day he came in with 5 fish that weighed 25.03 lbs and everyone was wondering if he could do it again…. And Mr. Hill did not disappoint… he came in day 2 with 5 bass that weighed 24.01 lbs. He also had the biggest bass of the tournament a nice 6.89 lb’er on day 1 and won a total of $2,015.00 for fishing against 9 other fishermen…. Congratulations on an amazing season Mr. Tommy Hill !!!!!
Justin Cochran came in second place in the AQ Individual Championship weighing 15.55 lbs on day 1 and 14.49 lbs on day 2 for a two day total weight of 30.04 lbs. He won $525.00. (Justin had opted out of the side pot)
Danny Cross came in third place with a limit weighing 14.49 lbs on day one and 12.14 lbs on day 2 for a two day total weight of 26.63 lbs. Danny won the second place side pot money (since the 2nd place winner opted out of the side opt) and Danny won the Denali Rod provided by our newest AQ Sponsor, DENALI Rods…
A special Thank you goes out to Tommy and Paul, the new owners of LakeView Motel & RV for all their support and hard work. They take really good care of our fish from weigh-in to releasing them back in the Lake. I truly appreciate them.
