I am usually talking about gobblers and not wobblers, but I love fishing almost as much as I do turkey hunting. Wobblers are baits like jitterbugs and crazy crawlers. When you retrieve one of these by a largemouth, smallmouth, or muskie, the wobbling action entices awesome surface strikes.
I don?t know whether it is the steady retrieve that allows the fish to zone in on it or the sound that annoys them or what but when they hit it, you are going to know it.
Cast it out, reel it straight back in, and let the bait do all the work. Run it close to or over any good cover.
This spring get out on a small lake or pond after dark and cast a big jitterbug close to weedy shorelines. It?s something everyone needs to experience.
