Yamaha Marine Group and Yamaha Boat Companies Recognized for Customer Satisfaction

Yamaha Marine Group announced today that it has received an NMMA CSI Recognition Award for Excellence in Customer Satisfaction for 2009. In addition, Yamaha’s three boat companies, Century, Skeeter and G3 Boats also received awards. Yamaha was recognized in the “Outboard Engine” category, Century and Skeeter in the “Fiberglass Outboard Boat” category, and G3 Boats in the “Aluminum Outboard Boat” category. This year’s award is the eighth consecutive for Yamaha in the Outboard Engine Category – an achievement no other outboard can claim.

“Customer satisfaction is our top priority at Yamaha,” said Phil Dyskow, Yamaha Marine Group President. “The award belongs to many in the Yamaha family, including our boat-builder partners and dealers.”

NMMA launched its CSI program in 2001 to provide boat and engine manufacturers with an independently-measured, cost-effective tool to help improve customer satisfaction in the boating industry. The program allows participating manufacturer companies to monitor customer satisfaction on an ongoing basis and to create benchmarks in the industry.

The Marine Industry CSI program meets the CSI requirements of the NMMA Boat/Yacht Certification program. For manufacturers that are full participants in the Marine Industry CSI process, the included reporting also fills the dealer level CSI requirements of the Marine Industry Dealership Certification program.

National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) is the leading association representing the recreational boating industry.
