Yamaha Supports the Cabela’s Collegiate Bass Fishing Series

and Association of Collegiate Anglers for the 11th Straight Year

As the leading manufacturer of the next generation of outboard motors, Yamaha continues to support the next generation of anglers resulting from their partnership with the 2016 Cabela’s Collegiate Bass Fishing Series.

“The Association of Collegiate Anglers has done a great job organizing and promoting these events,” said Frank Wilhelm, Yamaha Marine Group Manager Advertising. “We are pleased to be supporting the Cabela’s Collegiate Bass Fishing Series again this season and the continued growth the association has experienced each year.”

Yamaha will provide additional support for anglers competing in the Cabela’s Collegiate Bass Fishing Series through an incentive program that will award anglers up to $1,000 for top finishes if the boat used in competition is powered by a Yamaha motor and the angler(s) display the Yamaha logo on their jerseys. Complete details are available at the Discounts and Incentives Page.

In addition to the Yamaha incentive program, Yamaha Angler Appreciation Night takes place on Tuesday, May 24, at the 2016 BoatUS Collegiate Bass Fishing Championship Presented by Cabela’s where anglers will have the opportunity to meet some of the Yamaha Pro’s, get their boats serviced by Yamaha Master Technicians, participate in Yamaha powered Ranger Demo Rides, and win prizes as well as enjoy a pizza party as part of the night’s activities. In addition, Yamaha will be awarding $1000.00 in Cabela’s gift cards that night in a Flip, Pitch, and Cast competition, designed to put these collegiate anglers’ skills to the challenge!

“Yamaha Angler Appreciation Night gives us the opportunity to engage with the Angler’s,” said David Ittner, Tournament and Pro Staff Manager for Yamaha Marine. “We look forward to this opportunity every year to show our appreciation for all their accomplishments and as partners in the industry. These anglers are the future of our sport, and we are proud to celebrate their achievements”, Ittner went on to say.

Collegiate anglers competing in the BoatUS Collegiate Bass Fishing Championship Presented by Cabela’s will also be able to get a firsthand experience of the superior performance of the V MAX SHO®. Yamaha will provide demo rides during the event and the first 100 people will receive a voucher for one FREE year of Yamaha Extended Service (Y.E.S.). For more information, click here.

“Yamaha’s support over the past decade of the Association of Collegiate Anglers and all the events that make up the Cabela’s Collegiate Bass Fishing Series has been very important to the future growth of competitive bass fishing and the fishing industry as a whole,” said Wade Middleton, Director of the Cabela’s Collegiate Bass Fishing Series. “We’re very excited to have Yamaha on hand at the national championship event and supporting college fishing in general.”
