The 2015 Anglers Quest Rayburn Team Series Championship was held this past weekend at Humphreys Pavilion on Lake Sam Rayburn. There were some nice stringers brought to the scales but the team of Phillip Crelia and TJ Goodwyn won with an AWESOME two day total weight of 54.28.
Phillip & TJ qualified by winning two of the eight regular season tournaments. They reported catching their fish mostly on top water and flipping. And some key fish cranking early. They would like to thank their sponsors Roco Rescue, Hometown Tackle and Marine, and Legend Boats for their support. They won a total of $2,220.00 for their weekend on the water.
Clayton Boulware & Phil Addison came in second and won a total of $1,660.00 with a two day total weight of 46.65 lbs. Clayton said they fished all over the lake using Excaliber fat Free Shadin 15 feet of water on the new Lews cranking rod and the BB1Z Cranking reel. Mr. Addison caught the Biggest bass of the weekend a whoping 10.43 lb’er on a Frog, ( must have been a heck of a fight ). Phil would like to thank Basscat boats, Mercury Motors & Motoguide trolling motors and Denali Rods. Mr. Boulware would like to thank his sponsors: Prado, West Bros. Cody Sirmons & Jason Burton had a two day total weight of 42.57 lbs. and won $885.00 for their weekend on the water.
4th place was held by the team of Clint Wade & Stacy Spriggs. They also had a two day weight over 40 lbs…. 41.53 lbs. to be exact. Nothing to sneeze at….
What an awesome weekend to be on Big Sam Rayburn !!!! The weather was mostly nice both days and with a front that came in today bringin a little bit of rain with it, allowing the bite to continue to produce…..

We also crowned our Rayburn Team Series Anglers of the Year, Rusty Clark & Cory Rambo. Congradulations guys !!!! They get FREE entries to all the regular season Rayburn team events in 2016…..
I want to mention a couple of people who have helped me through out the year, Mr. Keith White and Mrs. Kathy DeSpain who are always there to help me with the tournaments. These two encourage and uplift me through thick and thin. Without their friendship and willingness to help, I could not do what I do. So the next time you see them, please let them know that you appreciate them too !!!
