Central Wisconsin River Series Championship, September 26 and 27.
72 tested anglers will descend on the Tomahawk area on September 26 and 27 to compete in the Central Wisconsin River Series Championship presented by MinnKota, Humminbird and The Stevens Point Brewery. 36 two-person teams will compete for over $9,800 in cash and prizes over two days on the beautiful Lake Mohawksin System.
Following a season-long competition of 4 qualifying events, these anglers are ready to prove themselves on a system known for huge smallmouth, at exactly the right time of the year.
“Each team can bring to the scales a 5 fish limit and we expect to see some very large fish brought in.” said Tournament Director Mike Hofmann. “Fall is the time for spectacular fishing and these teams are the very best. This is the second year we have held the Championship on Lake Mohawksin and last year did see some very impressive fish brought in!”
Weigh-ins begin Saturday and Sunday at 3 p.m. at Veterans Memorial Park. The weigh-ins are open to the public.
Special thanks go out to the Tomahawk Chamber of Commerce for making the Championship possible!
