Anglers Quest 2010 Sam Rayburn Individual Series #4 out of Mill Creek Park in Brookeland, TX began this event with 8 anglers showing up to fish for the $1080.00 purse. Due to predicted high winds & thunder storms (which did not happen) this 4th Individual Series event was started as a trailering event at 6:10 am. The anglers made their last cast at 3:15 pm and had to be in line to weigh by 4:00 pm. This Rayburn Individual Series after all 9 events will provide the Angler of the year with free entries to all 2011 Rayburn Individual Series events.
< Sam Rayburn water was in good shape and about normal pool level with water temps ranning 73-76 degrees. The weather at takeoff was a very calm 70 degrees with a warming to 81 degrees by weigh in time. The fish catching was pretty slow on Big Sam today as there were only 2 limits brought to the scales, for a total of 21 bass at 41.39 lbs making the average bass brought to the scales today weigh 1.97 lb. Ricky Guy from Humble, Tx ran his Tiremax wrapped BassCat/Evinrude bass rig to Tiger Creek & Little Farmers around grass to catch his bass throwing frogs & crank baits in shallow water. Ricky managed to cull 2 times to 5 keepers to finish in 1st place with 11.80 lbs. Ricky also had the Big Bass of the day at 4.20 lbs and collected $880.00 for his day on the water. Ricky had purchased one of the Bass Guard culling systems and collected another $50.00 for his Win & BB making a total winnings of $930.00. Rick Barns from Broaddus, Tx ran his bass rig to south lake areas to finish in 2nd with his best 5 bass, caught using tx rigged worms & Senkos in shallow water around grass & bushes that tipped the scales at 11.32 lbs. Rick collected $160 for his day on the water. John Frazier actually was the 1st place out of the money with 4 bass at 7.68 lbs and would have received the gift certificates if he had been present at weigh in. The Santone Lures & ZZ Lures Gift Certificates were given to Wayne Triana Jr for his catch of 2 bass at 2.70 lbs.
