Arizona Boating & Watersports⢠â the Southwest’s number-one monthly boating, fishing, watersports, and outdoors publication â said today that Mike Harris, former editor for California’s number-one boating newspaper, is joining Arizona Boating & Watersports⢠as the news magazine’s Southern California coordinator.
“Mike Harris is a veteran journalist, with a distinguished career in newspapers, magazines, and other publications, and he is also an outdoors enthusiast who knows how important boating and fishing are to Arizona and the Southwest,” said Jim Allen, publisher for Arizona Boating & Watersportsâ¢.
Harris is the former editor for The Log newspaper, California’s largest boating newspaper, and later served as fishing editor for Southern California’s BoatingNews publication.
Harris will act as Arizona Boating and Watersports’⢠liaison to Southern California boating- and fishing-equipment manufacturers, marine-supply dealers and retailers, yacht clubs, outdoors groups, parks and recreation departments, and sportfishing charters.
“Arizonans love the outdoors, and they want to know what’s new and where to go. Southern California provides many recreational opportunities, including some excellent lakes and world-class ocean fishing,” Allen said. “Mike will help keep our readers informed about what’s going on in Southern California, including boating and fishing products, services and recreational opportunities, and we’re happy to have him on board.”
