After acquiring Indianapolis-based Precision Propeller Industries, Inc. (PPI) July 21, Yamaha today announced the appointment of Bill Boehman as the company’s General Manager. Effective immediately, he will be responsible for managing PPI’s day-to-day business operations and its 80 employees. He will report to Yamaha Marine Group President Phil Dyskow.
Boehman has broad experience in manufacturing plant management and has spent the better part of his career improving manufacturing efficiency in roles that included plant controller, materials manager and Six Sigma® Black Belt.
Six Sigma®, a business management strategy originally developed by Motorola®, seeks to identify and remove the causes of defects and errors in manufacturing and business processes using a set of quality management methods.
Boehman has worked in a variety of positions with global component suppliers such as Lear® Corporation and Webasto®. He was graduated from the University of Kentucky with a degree in finance and economics. He also holds a Masters degree in manufacturing management.
