Anglers Quest 2010 Lake Livingston Individual Series #8 out of Kickapoo Bait & Tackle in Onalaska, TX began this event with 4 anglers showing up to fish for the $540.00 purse. This 8th event of 2010 was started at 6:15 am. The weigh in time was conducted at 3:15 pm.

FLASH All A/Q lake series championships have been reinstated for 2010 and will be done on home series lakes. The Individuals entering all 9 or the last 4 events for the Individual series will automatically qualify for all 4 Series Championships. Top 25 in pounds from any Individual Series with a minimum of 4 events entered will also qualify for championship. If you qualify for any A/Q Championship you will also qualify to go to the 2-day “Tournament of Champions” on November 13-14 on Lake Palestine.

Lake Livingston water was in dirty shape and about normal pool level with water temps running 88-90 degrees. The weather at takeoff was a calm 81 degrees with a warming to 100 degrees by weigh in time. The fish catching was off today as there was only 1 limit brought to the scales, and a total of 7 bass at 14.89 lbs making the average bass brought to the scales today weigh 2.12 lb.

Chris DiBerardino from Huffman, Tx ran a borrowed bass rig from Joe New to Kickapoo creek areas to finish in 1st with his best 5 bass caught throwing chartreuse crank baits around shoreline cover using his American Rodsmiths rods that tipped the scales at 10.84 lbs. Chris managed to catch 7 keepers. This made Chris $480.00 for his day on the water.

Charlie Cooper from Humble, Tx ran his Skeeter/Yamaha bass rig to the Triple creek & Kickapoo Creek areas to catch his bass with his American Rodsmiths rods flipping Tx rigged plastic worms and throwing chartreuse/white spinner baits in 1-5 ft of water. Charlie managed to catch 2 keepers to finish in 2nd place with 4.05 lbs. He collected the Santone & ZZ Lures Gift Certificates for being 1st place out of the money. Charlie also had the Big Bass of the event, a 2.44 lber that made him an extra $40.00 for his day on the water.

A/Q will be at Lake Houston Marina on July 28th & 29th for the 8th of 9 Houston Weekend Team Series & Individual Series events.
