Rayburn is HOT !!!! There were 23 teams that came out to fish the 7th Anglers Quest team event of the year.
Rusty Clark & Cory Rambo won it with 25.70 lbs. Cory reported catching most of their fish mid lake, flipping bushes in 8 feet of water. He reported catching most on Missile D Bomb Baits. Rusty & Cory would like to thank their sponsors: Ranger, Yamaha, Premier Yamaha, Falcon Rods, Costa, Minn Kota, Golden Triangle, Simon Outfitters, Lews Reels, Hummingbird, Talon, Sunline, River-2-Sea, Missile Baits, Premier Yamaha & Granger Chevorlet. Rusty & Cory took home the first place check for $1,580.00.
Coming in a very close second, was the team of Steve Phillips & Clay Phillips. Steve & Clay reported catching their 5 fish limit (25.60 lbs.) Mid Lake in 6 feet of water on Texas rigged worms. The Phillips boys won $1,055.00 for their day on the lake.
Tommy Hill & Bubba Frazier came in third place with 5 bass weighing 24.36 lbs. Hill & Frazier recieved $530.00 for their third place finish.
Charles Schofner & Butch Hollis placed fourth with 23.89 lbs and took home $350.00 for their limit and they had the Big Bass of the day that weighed an awesome 8.85 lbs and they add another $200.00 for a total of $550.00 for their day on Lake Sam Rayburn.
RL Jones & Ben South came in 5th place with 5 bass that weighed 23.41 lbs. Ron & Ben reported catching their fish Mid Lake as well, on soft plastics in 14-15 feet of water. They would like to thank The Good Lord and their sponsors: Sixth Sense, Castaway Rods, Ron Jones Custom Rods & Missile Baits.
