There were 23 teams that came out to tackle BIG SAM on Saturday morning. With the weather throwing a little kink in everyone’s plans, it didn’t stop the team of Rusty Clark & Cory Rambo. The morning started out rough, with high winds and rain, but that didn’t last long and it turned out to be a beautiful day to be on the lake. Rusty & Cory brought 5 bass to the scales that weighed 26.44 lbs. Rusty put the Big Bas of the day in the boat, an awesome 9.39 lb’er….they took home a total of $1,960.00 for their efforts on the water today….They would like to thank their sponsors ; SEI, Granger Chevrolet, 6thSense, Stout Home Builders, Premier Yamaha, Ranger Boats, Costa Bass Fishing, Falcon Rods, Lews Reels, Lanmark Staffing, Big Bite Baits, SunLine and of course Aleena Rambo & Jimmie Moss Clark for all their support……
Garrett Pierce & Roy Wade came in a close second with an impressive limit that weighed 23.28 lbs. They had a 6.86 lb kicker fish and won $880.00. Garrett and Roy ran to the north end in their Legend /Mercury and caught their fish on Sinkos and Spinner Baits in 3-5 ft of water. they took home the second place money of $880.00.
Kevin Walker & Jeff Bridges took third place with their limit weighing 20.60 lbs. They reported catching their fish in mid lake creeks in 1-5 feet of water throwing plastics. They took home the third place money for $530.00
The Team of Mike Johnson & Brian Adams were sight fishing with craw worms in really shallow water mid lake out of Mike’s new Phoenix / Mercury Boat / Motor and caught 5 that tipped the scales for 19.66 lbs. They won $350.00 for their day on the water…. They would like to give a shout of thanks out to their Sponsors ; Jordan Marine, Blackbush Ridge Ranch, Mr. Blitz and PINK Fishing.
