COULD IT BE OVER WITH FOR THE YEAR?

Mike Bock anchors his 16.65 pound stringer with a 6.80 pound beauty. It may be all she wrote for the heavy stringer and big fish contest this year. Although any thing is possible, it is unlikely that those weights can be beat the rest of the year as we return to the river for the second half of the 2005 circuit. Mike fished a grass bed in Leary early to catch his fish and then could not catch any fish to cull with the rest of the day. As it was, he did not need any help since his stringer was almost three pounds ahead of second.

Second place angler Bill Bellendorf was on the other side of the same grass bed and saw the big fish caught. Although Bill had the same quality fish as Mike, he just did not have the big kicker to get him over the top and came in with a great 13.75 pound stringer.

Jon Paul Arnoult makes a move in the standings with his third place finish of 13.55 pounds and moves into 8th place for the year.

Fourth place angler Bob Hoover also makes a move and takes over the 4th place spot for the year with a nice 13.45 pound stringer.

Alvin Burns is fifth with his 13.00 pound sack.

Bubba Thiel takes sixth with 12.15 pounds.

David “in the money” Williams and the marsh master, Ben Hollingsworth keep the fight alive for the angler of the year title and David has moved into first with only three points to spare. Both fishermen are experts of the marsh but what will the river leg of our circuit bring?

BACK TO THE RIVER!!

The LBTA returns to the Pearl.
The Pearl is nice and low with qu
antities and some quality bass being caught both on and off the river. We will return to the River with our June 4th tournament at the East Pearl launch.

CLASSIC QUALIFICATIONS
Remember that you must fish four of the six tournaments to qualify for the classic or fish three and pay for one. If you have fished all three at Delacroix, you must fish or pay for one more to qualify for the classic.
