COUNTRY MUSIC ARTIST EASTON CORBIN TO HEADLINE FREE CONCERT IN COLUMBIA PRESENTED BY 97.5 WCOS RADIO

Corbin Will Perform Prior to Forrest Wood Cup – Bass Fishing’s World Championship

Country music superstar Easton Corbin will perform a free concert on the weigh-in stage at Colonial Life Arena in Columbia on Sunday, August 13, beginning at 4 p.m. before the world’s premier bass anglers weigh their final-day limits at the 2017 Forrest Wood Cup – professional bass fishing’s world championship. Fans of all ages are encouraged to attend the free concert which is presented by 97.5 WCOS radio.

With two No. 1 singles, multiple awards and nominations, plus performances on some of the biggest stages in the world, Mercury Nashville’s Easton Corbin has made a lasting impression on the country music landscape. He is lauded for his traditional country sound, authentic lyrics and mastery of understatement. American Songwriter says, “Easton Corbin has one of those rare, glorious voices that was made – just made – for singing country music.”

“Easton Corbin is the perfect performer to showcase at the Forrest Wood Cup,” said Patterson Leeth, FLW vice president of marketing. “Each year, the Cup is the culmination and celebration of our anglers’ achievements, and no celebration is complete without some great music.”

Corbin spent 2016 on one of the biggest tours in country music – Carrie Underwood’s The Storyteller Tour, and is currently in the studio working on new music for his fourth studio album.

The Forrest Wood Cup, the world championship of bass fishing, returns Lake Murray and the Columbia, South Carolina, region August 11-13 with a $300,000 top prize on the line as well as the title of world’s best bass angler. This year’s championship tournament will feature 53 of the best anglers from across five FLW tournament circuits and is being hosted by the Capital City Lake Murray Country Regional Tourism Board.
