Cover Lots of Water in Late Spring Fishing

In fishing late spring, after the spawn, is when bass begin guarding their fry. To be successful, you have to cover a lot of water. And you have to look for the balls of fry, which will be very small and most likely be kind of reddish tinted. One of the best techniques for catching these fish is to cover a lot of water and don’t slug over a fluke. Because the bass will protect their fry from what they think is another fish coming towards it. So you can cover a lot of water and throw a slug over a fluke and a lot of times the fish will show themselves. And if that doesn’t work you can take a Wacky worm or a floatable worm and a lot of times you’ll catch those fish. The fish are focused on protecting the fry and they are very aggressive about it.By: Walker Agency
