Interlux has appointed Fred Daoust to the position of General Manager, North America. Fred has been with International Paint LLC (Interlux) for 20 years, where most recently he has enjoyed considerable success as Vice President Sales – Northern Region. 31In announcing the appointment, Neil Plowman, Global Director of the Yacht Division of Akzo Nobel said, “I am delighted that Fred has accepted the position. In these unique times, we are lucky to access such a knowledgeable and experienced talent like Fred.” Fred will divide his time between the corporate headquarters in Union, NJ and the sales office in Ontario, Canada.
Mr. Daoust commented, “I am delighted to accept this opportunity from the company. I look forward to moving us ahead in these challenging times and building on the tremendous base that we currently have.” He resides in Barrie, Ontario, Canada with his wife, two daughters, and son. In addition to his North America responsibilities, Daoust joins the Akzo Nobel Yacht Coatings Executive Group, a management group focusing on global business & development strategies.
