Anglers Quest 2006 Twin Lake Saturday Series #18 on Lake Livingston out of KickApoo Bait & Tackle in Onalaska, TX began this event with 40 teamed anglers showing up to fish this event. The event began at safe light, which was 6:45 am. Weigh in was conducted at 3:15 pm.

This Saturday Series after all 20 events will provide the Team Anglers of the year with free entries to all 2007 Saturday Series events. The Top 25 teams will go to the Saturday Series Championship in October on Lake Houston & Lake Livingston. A special Top 5 group of teams will go to the “Tournament of Champions” to be held in November on Lake Tyler with a guaranteed $10,000 being paid to the winner. All A/Q Championships include Calcutta auctions which builds the Championship purse to some very nice $$ to compete for.

Lake Livingston water was in good shape, and is at about 4.0 ft below normal pool level, with water temps running 86-88 degrees. The weather at takeoff was a very calm 78 degrees with a warming to 98 degrees by weigh in time. The fishing was pretty good on Livingston today as 10 limits were brought to the scales for a total of 69 bass at 153.88 lbs making the average bass brought to the scales today weigh 2.23 lb.

Dean Coleman from Humble & Jim Guzman from Cape Royale, Tx ran Jim’s Bullet/Mercury bass rig to South main lake 3-10 ft deep boat docks with brush to catch their limit of 5 bass casting drop shot & Tx rigged worms to end up with a nice sack at 15.00 lbs to finish in 1st place and collect the $670.00 plus an additional $120.00 for having the 1st big bass of the day, a fine 4.45 lber.

Archie Smith & Jody Rhoden from Groveton, Tx ran their bass Texas rigged worms & spinner baits to bring in their best 5 bass that tipped the scales at 14.58 lbs which made them $425.00 for their day on the water fishing. Archie & Jody also had the 2nd Big Bass of the event at 4.24 lbs. Stanton Marsh & Ben Cockrell from Livingston, Tx finished in 3rd place today fishing brushy banks & boat docks with spinner baits & tx rigged worms in 2-8 ft water on the south end of the lake and collected $160.00 for their limit of 13.16 lbs. The husband and wife team of Mike & Barbara Parsons weighed in a limit of 5 bass at 11.55 lbs to collect 4th place and $105.00 for their day on the water.

A/Q will be back at Kickapoo Bait & Tackle on Lake Livingston on Saturday, October 7 for the 19th of 20 Saturday Series events.
