New V160 Gets You Into Deep Water Without Deep Pockets
Newly designed as part of the G3 Explorer V series for 2000, the G3 V160T (tiller) and V160C (console) may well be the best values in deep northern water.
The tough V160 is built to handle heavy water for guys who are happy to go head-to-head with the multitude of walleye that reside there. The 2000 Explorer V160 features the G3 exclusive GX2 Hull, with a double-plated bow – an .080-gauge hull with an additional .072-gauge bow plate. Plus, it also has the rugged GX2 Hull design, featuring a full-length keel, and a full longitudinal framework reinforcing the bottom and concave spray rails, all for superior performance and rugged durability.
The Explorer V160 has a 60-inch reverse-chine bottom that lets it plane especially fast with less horsepower and heavier loads.
The V160’s are identical except the V160C features a deluxe side console with no feed back helm, bezel, wheel and cable. Each boat has Yamaha controls, a six gallon fuel tank, heavy duty gunnel, a 45-1/2 inch lighted aerated livewell with bait bucket insert, a 9-1/2 foot lockable rod box, marine grade gray carpet, two fold-down fishing seats, slider driverโs seat and lockable storage.
Both Explorer V160s are 16-feet, six-inches long, 76-inches wide and are rated for a 50 horsepower outboard. All G3 boat packages feature the proven technology of Yamaha power, and are backed by two year warranties on all Yamaha engines, with an additional year on all Yamaha Four-Strokes.
