Deep-water spoon fishing

Hi, I’m Frank Scalish, 2002 Team Yamaha Classic Qualifier. Deep-water spoon fishing is another outstanding off-water fishing technique. What I usually use is a 3/4 round CC spoon, and 17 pound Super Silver thread. I’ll use a 7 foot rod, only it’ll be medium heavy action. I want a little more backbone when I’m spoon fishing to set the hook in deep water. The best thing about spoon fishingis if you can see them on the locator, you can probably catch the bass. The 3/4 round spoon is important to me because most times of the year I like the spoon to crash into the bottom, and make as much commotion as it can.By: Walker Agency
