AQ Lake Conroe Team #1
Anglers Quest is back on beautiful Lake Conroe….. The first of the 8 regular season events was held on January 7, 2018 at Stowaway Marina. It was a chilly morning but that didn’t stop the 35 boats from coming out to fish for a little over a $6,000.00 payout…….
The father and son team of Jesse Sherlock & Seth Sherlock showed up to fish and brought 5 fish to the scales that weighed an awesome
25.62lbs…. Their biggest bass was a nice 7.88 lb’er. Jesse reported “ The water temperatures started in the high 40’s and overcast conditions limited it to the low 50’s on tournament day. Some fish were caught shallow, but deeper brush, fished slow with large shakey head worms was the ticket.” Jesse & Seth went home with the first place check of $2,400.00…. They want to thank the good Lord above for all of his many blessings……
Second place was caught by the team of Ty Russell and Matt Russell. These guys weighed in 5 bass that went for 18.94 lbs. and they took home the 2nd place check for $1,030.00….
The team of Garrett Pierce & Skip Regan brought 5 bass to the scale that weighed 16.16 lbs., and they took home the third place money for $745.00……..
Jason Griffin and Gary Griffin brought 4 fish to the scales and they took 4th place with a weight of 15.83 lbs., and took home the 4th place check for $565.00……
Kyle Nitshke and Jason Bonds brought in just 3 fish for 5th place, but one of those fish happened to be the biggest bass of the day weighing
9.02 lbs. Kyle & Jason won a total of $600.00 for 5th pace and big bass combined……..
6th place went to the team of Gabe Alanis & Kelly Moore. They brought their limit to the scales weighing 12.05 lbs. this team won $350.00 for their day on the water……..
The team of Jerry Watson & Hilary Watson won the last place money spot with their three fish weighing 10.16 lbs. this team took home the 7th place check for $225.00…….
All in all it was a great start to a new fishing season…. I would like to thank all the fishermen and women for supporting Anglers Quest.
